Jim Chaston is one of the most trusted in providing top-notch CPA services in Arizona.
He grew up in the Western U.S., attending Arizona elementary and junior high schools, then permanently moving to Arizona to attend college in 1991. He graduated from Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Taxation.
After graduating from ASU, Jim joined the firm of Miller Wagner, where he earned his CPA certification in 1997. Then, after furthering his education and earning his Master’s degree in 2001, he decided to step out on his own and build an enduring CPA practice focused on small businesses, their owners and the growing community of Maricopa.

In addition to helping Arizonans through his CPA Firm, Jim Chaston has served on a variety of boards, including Maricopa Unified School District Board, City of Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, Gila Bend Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club Auxiliary Board, Maricopa Little League Board, ASCPA IRS Liaison Committee, ASCPA Arizona Department of Revenue Liaison Committee, multiple on-profit boards, and the Glenmere Homeowners’ Association Board.
These organizations not only reflect Jim’s interests but also his commitment to giving back to his community. He views every opportunity to serve as a chance to learn; each experience has helped him hone his expertise and discover new solutions for his clients.
Jim also served as a City Finance Director, worked with County Water and Sewer Districts, and Tribal Governments and enterprises working in their accounting and budget systems.

Jim has been married to his wife Pamela for 29 years and together they have three children. He enjoys competing in Triathlons, Spartan Races, and other activities to bring out the best in himself and to see just what he is capable of.
